The East Anglian Game and Country Fair, having previously been hosted for the past 13 years at the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association’s (RNAA’s) showground at Costessey, has now announced that it will be moving to an exciting new venue for 2017.
One of East Anglia’s main attractions for people visiting from all over the country, including those on weekend breaks for families, will now head to Euston Estate near Thetford for the annual event which takes place on the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd.
Tracey Grand, an event organiser, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Norfolk Showground for allowing us to build and develop one of the biggest, most well-attended and highly-regarded events in East Anglia.
“We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our 14th East Anglian Game and Country Fair on the Euston Estate near Thetford, just off the A11, by kind permission of The Duke and Duchess of Grafton
“This beautiful venue lends itself to a game and country fair setting, along with offering us the opportunities to further evolve and develop the show, with the space and freedom to invite new attractions and events, whilst ensuring that the popular events that we have always enjoyed remain.”
Also speaking of the recent announcement, an RNAA spokesman added: “Earlier this year, the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association carried out a review of its future commercial plans and developments and decided that from 2017 it will no longer be able to make the Norfolk Showground available to Grand Promotion Events Limited for the East Anglian Game and Country Fair. We would like to thank them for their support and wish them every success in the future.
“As the region’s largest events location, we have exciting plans for new events in 2017 and are looking forward to welcoming around 500,000 people back to the Norfolk Showground next year.”
