With winter drawing ever closer, watching the world go by from inside begins to sound more appealing but, in Norfolk, there is a range of fantastic days out that are suitable for the whole family! So, make the most of the daylight and go and enjoy yourselves at one of these four great attractions in Norfolk, that all the family will love, especially your children.

Dinosaur Adventure Park

Children and adults alike are guaranteed to burn off some energy at the Dinosaur Adventure Park, and with a range of exciting activities, the fun is endless! The dinosaur trail is perfect for the explorers amongst you where you can find some resident, life-sized dinosaurs. Along the route, explorers are encouraged to collect dinosaur stamps which they can then hand over and be awarded their well-deserved medal for their efforts along the trail. To top it off, there is an adventure play area, a secret garden, a tree house and of course, a mysterious maze!

Special events are held throughout the year, with the October half-term set to be spookier than ever at the Dinosaur Adventure Park, so make sure you pack your Halloween fancy dress and go along to join in on the action!

Banham Zoo

A trip to Banham Zoo will give you an animal tour of the world from the heart of Norfolk. With a range of wild and exotic birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians and fish, the diversity of life at the Banham Zoo is broad. Your day out isn’t just fun, but educational too, as visitors are invited to attend the regular talks, displays and feeding times. If you or your little ones are keen to get hands-on and help the zookeepers out during your visit, then join in with the zookeepers experience and get a little closer to the incredible animals.

BeWILDerwood

When the sun is shining, there is no better place for children than BeWILDerwood. Children will get closer to nature in the exciting outdoor play space. With rope ladders, zip-wires, a treehouse and treetop walkways, their imagination can run wild, and some energy can be burnt. The creativity and charm of the place and the memories made by the whole family while you are there is guaranteed to be a fond and lasting memory for all. Storytelling stage, boat rides and laughter all make for a magical day.

Sticky Earth Café

For an art and craft day making souvenirs to gift to your friends and family on your return, the Sticky Earth Café is a must! From pottery painting, canvas painting, T-shirt printing and decopatch, the whole family can get involved. There is no skill required, and even the least artistic amongst the group are encouraged to join in. With paper, glue, paint, plates, bowls and much more to decorate, what could go wrong? What makes this activity day better is that you also get to take your precious creations home with you, you don’t have to clear up the mess, and you can have a well-earnt cup of tea afterwards.

When planning your visit, be sure to check the availability and opening times before you start your journey to the attraction. Bring along plenty of snacks and drinks for both you and your children, as you will have an energetic day ahead of you.
